SkyLog: SES Gains Slot; DSI & Panasonic; Globalstar; BSkyB

SES has gained the 67º West satellite slot via an agreement with the Andean Community of Nations.  The slot will boost SES' reach throughout the Americas and the Caribbean. 

DSI Systems has added Panasonic Professional Displays to its offerings.  Designed for the commercial environment, the displays feature extensive configuration options for a wide range of applications. 

Globalstar has signed with Arion Communication to form Globalstar Asia Pacific.  The alliance will provide mobile satellite voice and data services to Korea and surrounding areas.

• Going, going ... Having conceded to the judge's order, BSkyB has wasted no time in divesting itself of a 10.4% share in ITV.  The stake sold for GBP 196 million ($308 million) via Morgan Stanley.  BSkyB intends to hold its remaining stake of 7.5% for the medium term.•
