SkyLog: SES Gains Slot; DSI & Panasonic; Globalstar; BSkyB
• SES has gained the 67º West satellite slot via an agreement with the Andean Community of Nations. The slot will boost SES' reach throughout the Americas and the Caribbean.
• DSI Systems has added Panasonic Professional Displays to its offerings. Designed for the commercial environment, the displays feature extensive configuration options for a wide range of applications.
• Globalstar has signed with Arion Communication to form Globalstar Asia Pacific. The alliance will provide mobile satellite voice and data services to Korea and surrounding areas.
• Going, going ... Having conceded to the judge's order, BSkyB has wasted no time in divesting itself of a 10.4% share in ITV. The stake sold for GBP 196 million ($308 million) via Morgan Stanley. BSkyB intends to hold its remaining stake of 7.5% for the medium term.•
