NEWS BRIEFS: Globalstar Expands Services to Alaska
Globalstar said it has expanded its satellite-based Simplex data coverage to include Alaska, the Aleutian Islands and surrounding maritime regions including the Gulf of Alaska and portions of both the north Pacific and south Arctic Oceans. Customers in these regions can access services such as satellite asset and personal tracking, messaging, tracing and data monitoring solutions, the company said.
Last week, Arianespace successfully lofted the Skynet 5C and Turksat 3A satellites. The flight was the 25th consecutive commercial success for the Ariane 5 launch vehicle, the launch services provider said.
