WhereIsHD.com Reports High Demand for Educational Programming
According to WhereIsHD.com, Time Warner keeps pushing the HD channels with 292 launches last week, 45 percent of which were in the Los Angeles DMA. The leading channels of those 292 launches were ABC Family Channel HD, Planet Green HD, and Travel Channel HD.
 
Vista III Media, LLC was another big player last week having launched 104 HD feeds in the Columbus, Huntsville and Memphis DMAs.
 
Educational programming is in high demand, states the WhereIsHD.com figures. Just last week 46 percent of the HD feeds launched fell into this category. Major players were, The Learning Channel HD, Science Channel HD, Planet Green HD, and History HD.

The historically most popular HD sports feeds only accounted for 8 percent of the total feeds launched last week.
