NEWS BRIEFS: Home2US Adds Nets, DISH at Dem Convention
Home2US said it added three premium channels produced by Albania's Top Channel (TCH) to its direct-to-home lineup. The Albanian channel bouquet includes Top Channel, which features news, news analysis and entertainment. Also, the Albanian programmer has two new channels for the U.S. market: Top News, a 24/7 news channel, and Folk-Plus, a channel devoted to Albanian music and movies.
The Democratic National Convention Committee named Denver-based DISH Network the official High-Definition Satellite Television Service Provider for the 2008 Democratic National Convention, which will be held Aug. 25-28 in the Mile High City.
4D Media said Steven Cox has joined the company as a consultant. The former DIRECTV executive has most recently been involved in the motor sports industry through his executive position with HD Partners Acquisition Corporation.
