AMC-21, Superbird Satellites Ready for Launch
Arianespace is preparing for its fifth launch of the year, a mission scheduled for Thursday that will place two satellites in orbit.

The satellites are the AMC-21 for SES AMERICOM and the Superbird-7 for Japanese operator Space Communications Corporation. Lift-off of the Ariane 5 is set for late Thursday afternoon/early evening during a launch window that opens at 4:44 p.m. Eastern.

Arianespace's last mission took place July 7, and included the launch of satellites for ProtoStar and Arabsat.

Coverage of the launch is available at the Arianespace Web site, at http://www.arianespace.com. Satellite industry insider Harry Thibedeau will host the English-language commentary for the mission.
