ESPA Envisions Web Site As Industry Resource
According to managing director Deb Rolfes, the new website of the Electronic Systems Professional Alliance (ESPA), launched this week, will be a resource not only for certification candidates but installers and technicians as well.
"The response to ESPA's mission of building a unified industry with a qualified workforce has been overwhelming," Rolfes said. "Our new web site offers information and opportunities for even more industry organizations to join the ESPA founders and affiliates, and to support the movement for a universal gateway to a career in electronic systems."
To that end, the new was designed as a recruiting tool for the electronic systems industry, offering information on the certification process, details on career possibilities in the field and education options.
Technicians should also think of espa.org as a gateway for future employees, she said. Companies are also invited to contribute information about their own projects -- such as before and after picture and job site descriptions -- to help candidates better understand the industry.
