Nice Timing for Spike
With Captain Richard Phillips freshly rescued from a pirate-manned lifeboat off the coast of Somalia, Spike TV is riding a wave of good timing. The net has announced production plans for a pilot “Pirate Hunters: USN” (working title). The proposed reality series, a partnership Emmy Award-winning reality production house 44 Blue Productions, boasts a behind-the-scenes look at the US Navy operation to end piracy.•
