More Programming: DIRECTV Adds ION West; CNN Sets Spin
ION West has now joined ION East on DIRECTV’s standard def line ups. The east coast feed joined the DBS lineup in late March, offering a mix of television series, theatrical and made-for-TV movies and specials. --- Meanwhile, CNN has found a great spin for its third place finish in first-quarter primetime ratings for news channels. CNN Advertising EVP Greg D’Alba is touting the net’s total reach via TV plus online and digital properties. Says D’Alba, the net had record sales in the first quarter and Nielsen Fusion (which combines TV and online use) ranked it No. 1 in integrated audience.•
