Rentrak Signs DISH

The Rentrak measurement folks are on a roll with The DISH Network signing on as their latest customer acquisition.  DISH will commercially integrate its viewing data with Rentrak's TV Essentials audience measurement service.  This will allow Rentrak "to become the only company to offer media measurement in all 210 TV markets, with more than 15 million televisions nationwide when combined with telco TV and cable viewing information," according to a company press release.

Meanwhile, in other Rentrak news, the company's Stickiness index gave high marks to President Obama's State of the Union address on January 27.  While it certainly wasn't the most watched show on TV (it ranked No. 141) but those who watched REALLY watched:  According to Rentrak's 'Stickiness' index, the President's address garnered a 172 sticky count easily beating the No. 2 in Stickiness, NCIS (which, FYI, had a rating rank of 4.)•
